Two books from last year that just stayed in my mind a lot, in very different ways:

1. Achtsam Morden (eng.: Murder Mindfully) by Karsten Dusse - a comedic crime novel about meditation and murder I am very sceptical when it comes to self-help books and try to avoid reading non-fiction in my free time as I have to read enough of that in my studies and jobs. This books manages in an extremely light-hearted, comedic way to transport concepts of mindfulness and dealing with stress you usually onlt get in self-help books. The general idea of the story line is not especially innovative or captivating, its more like a comfort, "in-between" read and I can only recommend the first and maybe the second book of the series. But those are really very, VERY therapeutic without you realise you are being therapised. To this day, I think to myself when I start stressing too much about something, "when I am standing in front of a door, I am standing in front of a door".

2. The Remembrance of Earth Past Series by Liu Cixin - an epic SciFi Trilogy about what it means to be human when we are not the only ones in the universe Those books, especially the second one, made me think so much more on what it means to be human and part of a bigger world. I loved the ethical dilemmas that were presented and just thinking about how/what I would do and why. I have talked about those with friends for HOURS on multiple occasions and love to use (shorter) versions of them in fun Get-To-Know-Games in my jobs (and at dates, but unfortunately less successful 😅)
