Bairns, lasses, thistles, men in tartan and plaid? Me thinks the isle of Cadence may be inspired by Scotland 🏴
Also, why does Jack has the most boring name compared to others? Torin, Adaira and Jack???

I thoroughly enjoyed this novella and its characters. I had almost forgotten about Rysn and was exited to discover her and The Lopen as the main characters. I was also surprised how well and in depth the story was told while having less then 200 pages! I very much hope that Rysn, Cord and Lopen will get at least some more Interludes in the next books.

A much slower start then Words of Radience, and definitely not enough Jasnah for my taste. This book goes a lot deeper into the inner world of the main characters and their struggles and what made them the way they are now. Which is important and greatly enhances the feeling of the story and its depth, but can in some parts feel a bit dragged (especially with Dalinar). It picks about around the middle and especially the last 300-400 pages is almost un-putdown-able. Seriously, I don't recommend to read the last third if it's already late in the day and you don't have someone else to make food for you. Or you have plans the next morning!
spoiler I especially loved to learn more about Shadesmare and the World of the Spren. While I did hope to have Jasnah tell more about what she did while I was mourning her in Book 2, the adventures of my favourite trio were also really nice. Also, I am just very happy that the while Love "Triangle" didn't happen but everyone managed to THINK before doing stupid stuff (looking at you Syl!). The ending after the battle felt a little rushed and we seemingly skipped some parts I would have loved to be privy to (Adolin meeting the Brothers, Jasnah being told she is to be regent, Dalinar and the Stormfather talking about what happened, Adolin and his Bond?!!!, etc.)

What’s a book or series that you just can’t stop thinking about. Mine is the Raven Boys and as a whole the Raven Cycle. I read it a good ten years ago and have re-read a few times and I can’t ever seem to get it out of my head. I just love it to bits
