I'm having trouble rating this book. I did enjoy it, but it sure demanded A LOT of suspension of disbelief.
For starters, if a doctor estimates you have about one week to live, it certainly does NOT mean you have EXACTLY seven days left, ESPECIALLY if you spend these days smashing concrete, running from the police and JUMPING FROM A BUILDING ON FIRE.
I'm usually ok with SOME suspension of disbelief but that's a lot, you know?
IF you can overlook all of this - and also how young the characters sound despite being in their late twenties - I think the story is good. Lots of mysteries and small clues here and there, with all the answers nicely wrapped together by the end. Also, a nice message about what's important in life.
Yeah, I don't know. Read it at your own risk?

This was so much fun! I loved the wit and whimsy. The final 3 chapters were slower than i would have liked. The episodic nature of the majority of the book didnt really match the pace of the end for me. I think i was rushing through it by the end though; i will definitely revisit in a while so I can come back to this sweet fairy tale world!

I wanted to try audio books, but I've historically struggled to pay attention without the words right in front of me. So I thought I would reread The Hunger Games since im already really familiar with it. I wanted to reread the series before reading the prequels for the first time so this works out great. So far, not really in love with the narrators voice. Since im new to audio books im going to be patient; im sure it'll grow on me.
