I was inquisitive to know why Felix appeared so miserable and Agatha so sad. I thought (foolish wretch!) that it might be in my power to restore happiness to these deserving people.

the frankenstein stories in pop culture are soo different from this original story. iād expected multiple chapters about the actual making of the monster but weāre already done with that and the focus is really about frankenstein being haunted by his creation. really enjoying this so far!

The set-up is compelling but aspects of the writing are bugging me. It feels 'writerly' in a way that takes me oout of thenarrative. Like how Sam describes Sadie's outfit in detail so he can remember what she looks like after seeing her at the station.
