What I took from this book the most, was not the romance, but how spineless the international community was by not acting and letting the genocide be almost complete. How the resistance could not even let go of prejudice to save themselves.

Note: Not a HP fan. I cannot backup this type of romance, since I cannot romanticize an icon of the fascist/genocidal regime independently of his stand and reasons.
