I finally was able to start reading this series. I am listening into the graphic audio book and not gonna lie, the first 10 mins was like a massive info dump where I couldn’t fully grasp the world-building. I feel like it’s a fever dream in my ear. So many things. But I pushed through and we’ve got a murder mystery so I am now hooked.

This is a very heartwarming book. As someone who struggled with grief, I can relate to Lenny being hit by it every now and then even when you’re just doing the most mundane thing. Grief is unforgiving. Miles is by far a green flag. A green forest, I might say. His patience for Lenny is admirable. I love how they helped each other become better versions of themselves and overcome their own grief.

I just finished watching Voicemails for Isabelle tonight and I am sensing this book have similar vibes and will help me get over that beautiful movie where I cried at least four times.

“The same force of love that had broken the laws of the world and brought a brother back to life.”
I love Kell and Rhy’s bond so much. 🥹
