Murderbot!! More humans to have feelings and emotions about!! ART!! Easily my favourite in the series so far. The full length novel allowed so much more to be explored outside of just ✨the mission✨ and it was so detailed and thrilling and wholesome! I was squealing towards the end 🥹

"It has been said that books find their own readers - but sometimes they need someone to show them the way" A sweet book about how books can be your friend, hold your hand through life, and give you courage to live life within and beyond the page. It's a translated novel, so I think reading it in it's native language may have had a deeper impact. Most of the characters are loveable but are reduced to their circumstances in the story; however, they still add to the colourful little world in this book. The plot was simple, but sweet, if not a little rushed towards the end. Would recommend it as a quick read for any book lover!

16 pages in and already there are some beautiful bookish quotes! "It has been said that books find their own readers - but sometimes they need someone to show them the way" what a beautiful quote to describe librarians and bookshop keepers! "The written word will always remain... Print is the best preserving agent for thoughts and stories; it keeps them fresh for centuries" so well said!

An introduction to the Fantasy genre, these books are part of the cultural zeitgeist or the 'canon' that many would recognize. Look for more niche titles in later Starter Pack volumes.

Hi all, I've been in a really cozy, low-stakes murder mystery kind of mood and was looking to see if anyone had any suggestions? I've been reading a lot of Agatha Christie books and wanted to branch out more :)

I thought it would be kind of fun to see where in the world people are, and then folks can make friends with people from the same countries/ares (if they way, not pressure obviously). I'll go first. I'm Canadian, and more specifically I am in British Columbia (Vancouver Island if you want to get fancy). Try to find your country and join that thread! Everyone else?

Hi guys! I had this thought the other day and wondered if anyone else felt the same and if it was a possibility. It's a little frustrating as someone who lives in New Zealand that all the read-alongs are for the American/other Northern Hemisphere readers. It feels wrong to join the Autumn read-along when I am going into Spring. As a mood reader I would appreciate being able to match my reads to the season I'm in. Is there any way we could have one of each so everyone feels included and can join the appropriate one for them?

i might get my feelings hurt with this one because there are a lot of well known/popular writers that i really love and enjoy. i read a freida mcfadden book recently and was genuinely disappointed. i grew up on agatha christie and i generally really enjoy mysteries/thrillers, and its been so long since i've enjoyed a good mystery. unfortunately for me, the writing felt very simplistic(? idk if that's the best word for it) and did not impress me at all. yes, this is a risk we all run when taking opinions/thoughts from strangers online, but i'm wondering if there are any super hyped up authors that you didn't/couldn't like at all. (this is exlcuding any authors you don't like because they are problematic in some way or the other)

When i was a kid id bring my book everywhere leading to an embarrassing photo collection of me reading in various ridiculous places: My dads pig shed, in a wheelbarrow, on top of a haystack, on my uncles roof. So my question is what is the strangest place you used to read as a kid or adult?!
