I just realised that while I read I often don't eat and if I eat is usually snacks not that healthy. What's your go to snack when you read? Do you change the snack if you read with an ereader or with a physical book? Like if I'm reading a physical book I only eat things that wouldn't stain my finger or the book but if I'm reading with my Kobo I eat only with the hand that doesn't touch the screen. When you read do you have to prepare the "station" so when you start you don't have to move? If so do you prepare also different drinks?

Right now I'm reading a book and the author suggests listening to a playlist while reading. She puts the number of the song in the part where I should start playing it and keep listening until you reach a mark (*) But I'm not the kind of reader who can listen to music with lyrics while I read, so instead I read the part first and then I listen to the song, I can't skip it because the experience is much better. Which are your experiences with listening to music while reading?

Imagine ,books didn't exist, and the power went off for 24 hours or more, and you lived in the middle of nowhere. No friends , nothing to play with outside , just a plain of nothing as far as your human eye could see . Edit: The sun doesn't do its normal thing anymore and rarely shines near you. The closest sunlight is 10000 km away. Sorry, I'm Canadian, and i dont know that in american
What would you do if you don't work , can't read , just the lights went out? Would you sit in the dark for 24 hours , sleep ? What would you do to spend the 24 hours or more in pitch black?
I personally would try to sleep because the sleep schedule is usually messed up thanks to reading or daylight savings or cats

Hello friends 💗 I have been thinking about this for a while... LOL. We've all heard about reading in the bath, but now i come to you with this concept: reading in the shower. With the rise of cellphones and ereaders, I think it is actually possible to do this. Now my question is... has anyone read in the shower? How did you do it? If you haven't, how would you go about reading in the shower? Would you even WANT to read in the shower?!
My kobo is ALLEGEDLY waterproof (I don't want to test that 🥹) and my phone says it's waterproof (is it bad i care less about my phone than my kobo?) So technically i guess I could bring them into the shower??? But then how to page turn? A remote isn't waterproof... so how would one go about this...

Hey guys!
I am currently trying to find some youtubers to watch but most that I come across promote authors such as Sarah J Maas, J.k Rowling, Rebecca Yarros, and Chloe Walsh to name a few. I am very active in politics and don't want to support those authors or those who platform them. I am very much a reading is political person and get extremely frustrated what people try to say that it isn't.
And before anyone tries to tell me that some of them bought the books before knowing how problematic the authors are, I totally understand that but when they have a platform and record in front of the books they don't need them on display. Especially those ugly neon coloured books (on a complete side note even if the author wasn't horrible those covers are awful)
OH and another side note if anyone if looking for a new search engine that isn't google chrome I highly recommend Ecosia, they even plant trees if you use their search engine!! :)
