This has probably been a post before, but I couldn’t find it, so I’m asking!
I was texting with my book club and it got me thinking about how differently we all rate books.
I’ve realized I’m not super selective with my stars 😅 I definitely give them out like candy. I’m very much an “if I vibe, it’s a 5” kind of reader. Even if there are moments that make me cringe or roll my eyes, if the overall vibe is there, it’s probably getting a 4 or 5 from me.
Meanwhile, my friends would rate that same book a 2 or 3 because of those cringe and eye-roll moments.
So now I need to know… what’s your vibe for ratings? 😌📖
My scale for reference:
1 star – I want my time back. 2 stars – I finished it… but I complained the whole time. 3 stars – It was fine. I’ll forget it in a few days. 4 stars – I really enjoyed it, had some issues, but I’m recommending it. 5 stars – I vibed even despite the issues and i’d reread and recommend it.

I’ve been writing some stories/short stories and I'm looking for a place to post them! I'm not saying they're masterpieces (honestly, I don't think they are🤣) but I’d love to get some honest feedback to help me improve✨ Any suggestions?☺️
Thank youuu so much ❤️

Heyo! This is just a random question, but do you guys have any "rules" for following people here (for example people with a great taste overlap with you or people you know from other apps/irl)? Since PB is not algorithm based I follow everyone who pops up on my feed but sometimes I see them posting some books that make me question if I should be more picky with the follow button 😂

i’m curious what book you guys go to for when you’re feeling in a bit of a reading slump? if you even get reading slumps i know some people don’t (lucky!) i personally like to listen to audiobooks, read novellas, pick up thriller/horror books & books that read quickly like mixed media or books with larger fonts for a sense of accomplishment.

The first half of the book was so slow, almost pointless, but now it's starting to get uncomfortable and I'm sat! I didn't know anything about the plot and thought by the title it may be about suicide, it's nothing like I expected and this makes me all the more intrigued. What's everyone's deal?!

The tension is insane 😱 I’m so sucked in, there’s so many tiny creepy details yet nothing out of the ordinary has taken place. If it wasn’t for these interludes of gossip about some crime, I’d be wondering if the eeriness was all in her head.
