A lot like the other books I’ve got I’ve been procrastinating this one for a bit, 5 years ish. But finally getting round to this book and I wasn’t disappointed. I’m already familiar with Marissa’s work with reading the renegade series, which is why I was wanting to read more of her work after loving those books. I’m in love with the worldbuilding and the potential of it for the next book, however if I had one thing to say of this book was that the plot was entirely guessable, there was one or two bits that I didn’t anticipate but apart from that I guessed the main plot turns from the beginning. If this was intended by the author I don’t know. Some media like to give the viewer the answers much earlier than the characters and let us watch the characters unravel the truth. But if not it was still and overall enjoyable read and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next one.

let me preface this by saying i don't finish books in a day at ALL. however 7.5 hours later i read the hole thing and am soooo ready for the next (the lost hero). if id of read this 5+ years ago then this would of been EVERYTHING to me but since ive put this series off for 10 years i dont think everything hit has hard as if i was the target age of the books sadly. anyways this book was a brilliant end to this series. having the last 4 books building up to percys bday. jumping right into the action and setting up the stakes imminently for the rest of the book.

This I think is my favourite so far, titans curse has some great individual scenes but overall this book I enjoyed reading much better, so excited to see what happens in the next book!

Dramatic battles, tense political intrigue, unique world building...and is that maybe some romance I'm sensing? These books are not Romantasy but focus primarily on the SFF elements. Romance is a subplot and may not appear until later in the series, but when it does, you won't be disappointed.
