This book lived up to my expectations and more. I was nervous for this book because the first one was so amazing and had so many twists and turns and I didn’t want this book to be predictable.

This book had so many twists and turns and I never knew what to expect. Nora goes through so much growth and personal improvement in this book and I was rooting for her the whole time. I love how the author included medical diagnoses for a character not as a plot point but just a character trait.

There were many aspects that don’t seem like they would happen in the real world. However, they match the world created in the first book.

I couldn’t put this book down.

I love Sarah Adams! This book was not a disappointment. It was fast paced, light easy read. I liked the characters and was rooting for them. I enjoyed how the story was interconnected to the Cheatsheet but not continuing the same story.

The relationship between characters was believable. I loved how the football players all teased him and tried to bring her into the group.

One thing I didn’t love was it felt like at every turn a new trope was introduced to the story that weren’t all needed.

    Read this with my students.

I enjoyed this story. It was heartfelt and told a great story of family and hope. I was curious about what was going to happen next and wanted to continue reading.

Louie was a very human character that had real emotions and ups and downs in life.

Nora’s pessimism was annoying through the majority of the book.

    Read this book with students.

I enjoyed the plot being based on a true story in the 1800’s. However, I felt it lacked drama and excitement. There was a lot of areas of suspense and I thought many areas were glossed over instead of diving into it.

As the third child in a family but the oldest emotionally I related a lot to the oldest child in this book. It was hard to see this family fracture so fully. The author often wrote that the sisters fell back into their childhood ways and that is what it felt like. I felt like I was listening to children complaining about adult issues. I often found myself not interested in the sisters unnecessary drama that they were creating themselves. I disliked the unreliable narrator aspects and struggled when many stories didn’t match up and were never then explained.
