"And she was looking forward to not having to talk to anyone but the spider plant for a nice long while." Can already tell she's hella wrong about this lmao

I saw the spoiler for the Netflix adaptation coming in January on Netflix and it made me want to (finally) dip my toe in the Emily Henry world. And I can honestly say: I loved it! The characters are relatable and lovable, the plot is straightforward but realistic and the writing is witty and on point. I liked that some things were left for the reader to interpret and I also thought the pacing was really nicely done!

This is exactly what I'm looking for in literary fiction. The characters are well built and relatable, and at times, annoying and/or unlikeable but that's what makes them so great. The writing is elegant and simple but makes you feel alongside the characters. It is rich with emotions and I cried multiple times. It was my second read so I payed more attention to a lot of details, but I still like it as much - maybe more!

"No," Sam said. "We've never ...It's more than romantic. It's better than romance. It's friendship." Only a couple chapters in and I love them so much. This book is going to destroy me.
