loved this book. Was it dark? Yes. Was it funny? Yes. Was there a found family? Yes. Was there trauma? Yes. I enjoyed the total opposites attract. I enjoyed all the sisters. The relationship between Cal and Ryan absolute perfection. And also a new way to perceive forced proximity. The only thing I wish there was a bit more of was Ryan's ghostly interactions. But the absolute best piece of perfection, Ryan handled Cal's problem. And they lived happily ever after.

Ever gone camping? I'm an experienced camper. Not sure this couple was. So buckle up buttercup you're in for a ride. Ryan and Marley decided to take a nice quiet camping trip for Christmas vacation to unwind and to explore each other. They getting with it when the run into AJ and company who are camping on a Christmas break from college. Now Marley feels like something is off. But just shrugs it off. (First mistake) always trust your instincts. But let's just say let the debauchery into the macabre begin. Is this a cozy little love story? Definitely not. Does this novella have a HEA? Not even close. Will disturbed minds like mine love it? You betcha. This is a very dark, horror erotic novella with a ton of triggers. And it will leave you with your head in your hands asking yourself what did I just read? And why do I want more.

This book, was a decent concept. But lacked focus. The memory lapses were significant, but Soray never seemed to question it, or even care. And then the story just dragged. I didn't even know which men were her fated Mates til 90% into the book. And character development is still very lacking with them. I mean the only character that had a story was Jesmine. She was the best developed person in this book. More so than thd FMC. At least 100 pages could have been cut. And nothing would have been missed. Then at the end she is clued in on a few things and introduced to her "fated mates" formally instead of the meet them and bang them concept throuout the beginning. And then it just ends. Yup, they are all going somewhere. But at this point I just don't care enough to pick up the second book when it comes out to find out. It was overall a good concept, and I understood where the author was going. But it just fell short. Thank you NerdFam for the ARC.

I loved this book. M L Burns is becoming one of my favorite authors. This is a story of redemption and betrayal. How two people can come together with rotten backgrounds and find a way to heal each other. Ronan, betrayed by his father and used by his uncle. And in my opinion wrongly imprisoned. Then Calista being completely betrayed by her mother and taking the blame for her mother's actions and choices. This has a lot of good spice, but also a lot of triggering events. So be aware. This book has a happy ending. That is after ripping your heart out. Definitely worth yhe read.
