People online made me afraid to read that, because they said it's Sanderson early work and don't hold up to his later work. DAYUMMMM how great will the rest of the cosmere universe be? Because this was really great! The story was something I have never read like that before and it caught me immediately. Great characters and cool plottwists. In my opinion, it wasn't slow or anything. Really fun read would recommend

I am honestly a little disappointed in that book. The beginning was quite good, but the more pages I read, the more I got frustrated. I didn't really liked the whole language thing. Some parts were very interesting, but later it was pages over pages just about language. Maybe it wasn't that captivating to me and that made me not enjoy the book. The characters were okay, so yes I liked Robin, but the others idk. I did not really connect with any of them so when things happened (iykyk) I felt nothing. I just dragged myself through the book, because people said the last 100 or so pages were amazing. And then again not for me :( . The only time when I enjoyed the book was at the moment Robin did that thing (iykyk), because it was just so greatly written. BUT I have to give that to the author the book is really well written and for people who are interested in such writing and about language it is probably the best book. Possibly I didn't enjoyed it that much because I read it straight after Mistborn ( absolute masterpiece). So unfortunately not a great read for me :(
