I read this book a few years ago, and I was just going through my notes to prepare. there are some themes I'd love to discuss with people! here's a spoiler-free list of things you could keep track of if you'd like:

Propaganda, storytelling, how information is disseminated and used - this was one of the most interesting themes to me! lots of parallels with how info flows today and how viral moments begin and intensify.

Moral complexity, alliances, who is on whose team? and perhaps relatedly, diplomacy - this was the book/show that got me kinda interested in political science and how societies with opposing goals deal with each other.

People as symbols/heroes - this is related to both themes above!
