Wow! Just wow! First book of the year, one that I have been putting off for years and it's been an amazing journey! The world, the characters, the magic system. Just wow! I am honestly speechless and already have the next book ready to go as I'm not prepared to leave just yet đ

I originally thought only of Paperback vs Hardcover, but if you have any insight on digital reading, please come with it! (I never have read a book digitally)
I personally collect books, and when i buy them i will go for the Hardcover version whenever possible.. however, I am now reading a Paperback, and tho it might be due to it being written by an author I am more familiar with than my last read- it feels much lighter.
(My last Hardcover was A Marvellous Light by Freya Marske, my current read (softcover) is 'Salem's Lot by Stephen King) the King book is feeling like a breeze in comparison to Marske's. Of course they have vividly different styles, but I also feel the entire mood/vibe is very different between picking up a Hardcover and a Pocket/soft.
