Fagles: ”Calypso, the bewitching nymph, the lustrous goddess, held him back.”
Wilson: ”Calypso, a great goddess, had trapped him in her cave; she wanted him to be her husband.”
Right off the bat some major tone differences! F’s is very mythical, while W tells it like it is — she wants him so she trapped him.

A fascinating and terrifying look at the world our children are growing up in. At times, Haidt seems to perhaps slightly over-interpret certain pieces of evidence, but the book generally makes a very compelling argument and should serve as a useful guide for parents.
