About Zetian and Yizhi.
I don't think Zetian should have told her true plan to Yizhi.
Maybe it's because I don't know much about how deep they actually go, I only have an idea but...still a risky move, tho I understand what Zetian must have been feeling in that moment.
And about how girls are treated.
Man, you'd think it will get quicker to read about the struggles women go through (be it fictional or real) but it's still so infuriating.
I can sense the female rage burning within Zetian already 😌.

Do you guys have specific places where you like to read? Are there places where you just can’t read at all? Does it depend on what you’re reading? Do you favour certain formats (ebooks, audiobooks…) depending on the location?
Personally, I feel like I can read pretty much anywhere. I don’t need to stay in the comfort of my home (couch, chair, bed…), unlike some of my friends. I can read in a café, on public transport (whether I’m sitting or standing), while waiting in line, etc. That said, I’d draw the line at reading in a car, which is not exactly enjoyable 😅

This is eldritch horror, but beautiful. It is a story of a journey but also the futility of the journey. It's very character focused, but still has a plot surrounding that keeps you focused (but it's very secondary). The book is beautiful and enchanting and gets you hooked. However #JusticeforFrin

I think this was a solid standalone and am hopeful that it sells enough for Seven Seas and other publishers to pick up more baihe!
