I’m extremely behind on my reading goal for this year. The big part of it is I struggle to sit down and read outside of school since school’s exhausting. I’ve been wanting to listen to more audiobooks so I can read while drawing or getting chores done. The only issue is, anytime I listen to an audiobook, I zone out within seconds. I really want to read more this summer and audiobooks may help me accomplish that. If anyone has any tips on how to stay focused on the audio I would greatly appreciate it. 🙏

Okay this seems like my go-to question in every book related community. But I've not been lucky enough to have good recs so here I'm to my Pagebound people.
Do you guys have any Forbidden Romance recs that have low to no spice? B'Coz most of the time I get to this trope it's either smut or heavy on spice. I'm not comfortable in reading that. It's one of my fav tropes so I want to enjoy it fully.

EDIT: Found!!! thank you!
I have very specific memories of this book I would have read in 5th grade (US) with an old teacher of mine. This was before I was old enough to do anything with book tracking, so I don’t remember the title, but I remember some very specific details and was wondering if anyone else would know this or remember reading it?? I know it was not curriculum specific, it was just a book that my teacher would have read to us out loud because he enjoyed doing so and we read several books for fun for 30 mins of class time.
The book was focused on these two young kids, a brother and sister, whose mom died. I think she was sick with something and that was why. I remember the book mentioning that the mom used to sing Greensleeves to them. It was a recent death because they were grieving her.
The father moved them into this giant manor near a lake and they befriended this boy their age who lived near them and at the end you find out that it’s his ghost, and that the boy died because his own father drowned him in the lake with an anchor.
Oddly specific, I know, but every time I try to Google anything, nothing comes up for me. I would love to reread it at some point which is why I ask!

There was a book I read a few years ago. I think it was ya but it may have been middle grade, I’m not sure. I believe it followed the story of a boy who was haunted by a ghost. The ghost had worked under Shakespeare and Shakespeare had stolen one of his play ideas. The boy was doing that same play at his school. I also remember about something with the ghost being able to communicate with other living people through the boy’s cell phone? If anyone knows what this book is I would greatly appreciate. 🙏
