OMG I AM DONE 😭🔥 what a ride! Why did no one grab me by the shoulders and force this into my hands earlier?! I went in completely blind, not knowing a single thing about this world or the magic or the vibes and it was spectacular. Like jaw hanging, brain short‑circuiting spectacular.

With comments I see people say the start is slow and they couldn’t get through it but honestly… I loved the slowness of the first 300 pages. That’s where the world building hits, where you learn this insane magic system piece by piece, where everything starts clicking. I was eating it up like it was gourmet fantasy cuisine 😭✨

The characters? Complex as hell. The character development? Outstanding. The stakes? So high you need binoculars to see over them. And that ending of part 4… I was on the floor. I did not see that coming. I didn’t even cry because I was too shocked, too in denial, too spiritually unprepared 😭😭 Brandon Sanderson really said “pain” and delivered.

I love Kelsier and Vin’s relationship so much. Vin being this stubborn little thing who refuses to trust anyone, who’s still stuck between scared street urchin and pretend noblewoman… I cannot wait to see her grow into herself. Just Vin. Fully Vin. I’m obsessed.

And the crew? The banter? The dynamics? Everyone written so beautifully with their own morals and beliefs and layers. This book was everything to me.

My only worry is… this is just the first book. WHAT THE FUCK is going to happen in the next one and then the next 24 books after this 😭🔥 I’m ready but also absolutely not ready. Thank god there’s a next one because there is no universe where I could stop here.

Definitely a 5 star read and honestly, I can't wait to jump into the next one!!✨️📚

Dnf 16%... not because it's bad, it's actually pretty good. It's just a lot of dense world building that my distracted brain can't keep up with at this time. Martha Wells is a brilliant writer. I might pick this up again on a later date ✨️🤞🏼
