Hi everyone:) I've been really into surrealism and magical realism lately. I absolutely loved Leonora Carrington's The Hearing Trumpet, and I'm a big fan of Mikhail Bulgakov's The Master and Margarita. Also I just read Piranesi from Susanna Clark, and my mind was totally blown away by it. So if you happen to have any good recommendations similar to these, please share:) I'm also particularly interested in female surrealist writers, if you have anyone in mind, I'm all ears (pun intended) 👂🏼Thank you!:)

    Oookaaay let's go!

Really excited to start this one! It's been on my tbr for quite some time, but the size was quite intimidating, since I struggle with keeping focus 🥲 hopefully I can get lost in it!

Whenever I'm reading feminist literature, it brings out my inner misandrist. I don't want to hate men, because it's not the solution (just like misogyny is also not). But hearing about patriarchy and how it affected women for centuries (and still does) makes me really angry every time. And it's also terrible for men?? Like it literally affects everyone on this planet, yet oppression still exists. It makes me feel powerless.
