Although at first I genuinely thought Hobb didn’t like women—given their scarce presence and weak characterization (except for you, my beloved Patience)—Royal Assassin is proving I was completely wrong. I love how the role of women is much stronger in this novel, and how their characterization is never trivial. I LOVE THEM ALL

I resent Burrich for what he did, but I still can’t help wanting to hug him. What’s wrong with me, doctor?
