Hi! Its my first time posting here, but I wanted some advice! So if you can spare a few minutes.. My mom's Kindle recently died. It's pretty old so we aren't sure if it can be fixed, and she may need a new ereader. I've done some research and I think a Kobo would be best, specifically a Clara Color. I wanted to ask the people on here with personal experience how long the devices generally last for? I know people have already had conversations about e-readers on here but I didn't see much mention as to the longevity of the devices.. (;ŏ﹏ŏ)
Other than that question I have another more difficult one. The thing is she wants to keeps her Kindle books, understandably given she has about 250. Moving those is pretty difficult, but possible with a plug-in and calibre (apparently). I couldn't get that method to work and can't figure out why. I did get Epubor Ultimate to work but it's pay walled so I'd like to avoid that if possible.
Has anyone here found other methods of removing the DRM on Kindle books or other ways to move them to a Kobo? (๑´•.̫ • `๑)

Good evening Bookaholics!!
This is a very late question of the day to usual but I thought I would ask one anyways.
I recently received an early birthday present in the shape of some new bookish merch (a hoodie, 2 jumpers, and a bookmark) so here is the question of the day to you all:
Do you have any bookish merch? And if you have a lot, what is your favourite?

Hey, fellow boundlings! As I was planning my TBR for the next few months, I realized there were quite a few historical books I was ecstatic to read, but couldn’t due to lack of time 😢. So it got me wondering: what genre for you (I know we all have multiple, but just pick one 😉), is like a drink of cold water in the midst of a hot summer day? (Pardon the simile/metaphor).
For me, it’s historical fiction 🥰. I haven’t been reading much lately, but am so excited to read Madeline Martin’s historical fiction books later this year, A Castaway in Cornwall by Julie Klassen, and more! Historical fiction books set during WWII (especially in Paris), or other similar books are so refreshing for me, despite the depressing era (🤫) What about you??

What is your favourite book genre and why? Because personally my favorite is fantasy and romance because the worlds just whisk me away from then current state of the world! But I cannot read non-fiction as my mind physically zones out and I cannot keep focus on it. I also cannot read horror as it kind of freaks me out and makes me paranoid but I'm open to ready sci-fi but I have no idea what to read in that part of the genres... Any suggestion? Open to sci-fi and romance and fantasy recommendations!

Hey guys!! I read rom-coms sometimes but they aren’t really doing it for me so i thought that i would try with movies but i don’t know where to start. So has anyone got recs for where to start or good rom-coms in general? I think i would be more in the 2010 rom-com vibe.

Do you prefer shorter chapters but there are a lot more chapters in the book, or fewer long chapters?
I personally prefer my chapters to be shorter so then I feel like I'm making more progress faster. And because I like to stop at the end of a chapter it makes it easier for me to read in shorter bursts when the chapters are shorter.

Am re-reading the series in anticipation for the latest one.
I’ve only read a couple of pages but I’m so happy to be back in this world, I love this series!
