This is still kinda boring. I can feel the tension building, but I’m just not loving this yet. I don’t get the hype yet

I just wanted to share a small observation since I’ve come to this beautiful platform. I usually read under 30 books per year, but I really love to read. As I read people’s posts here and participate in book conversations, I notice that I am inspired to read more in order to be able to have better in-depth conversations. For a long time, I’ve been looking for a place to discuss books this way, and I am just very happy that I finally found you all. In connection to this wish to read more, I am a rather slow reader. Not only because I tend to read a lot of relevant material in addition to the book, but also because I struggle with focus, and especially in foreign languages. I know that many people here are reading very fast. So I wanted to hear: How did you learn to read fast? What techniques would you recommend for someone struggling with focus? Thank you!
