I once was an avid reader until I took some video games to the knee.

This book tries to emulate Tom Clancy and does a fair job of doing so without the same character depth. The plot itself is very of its time (early 2000s) and brushes up against islamaphobia without ever fully crossing into the territory. As with novels of this type there is plenty of "Ra Ra America!," reminders without beating you over the head with it. Overall, this book is for when you've run out of other things to read and need a brief change of pace and you get what you pay for because it's likely that you'll only find this book for a few bucks in a thrift store because I doubt that this will ever be in print again.
