Let’s talk your physical home library for a minute. I buy a lot of books, most of them before I’ve read it. I’ve been a lot better about reading a book on Libby before I purchase it, but sometimes the book isn’t in circulation as much and if I can’t find it anywhere else I end up buying it second hand (and rarely, new).

After I’ve read the book, if I loved it, liked it, or it’s a classic, then I’ll keep it. But there are some books that don’t resonate with me, and I have limited bookshelf space in my house.

I guess my question is, What do you do with the books in your home you’ll never read again or don’t like?

And how do you know you should find a new home for a book?

Sometimes I feel like I should keep them anyway and just buy another bookshelf.

Sometimes I want to purge every book except the ones I love.

There’s second-hand stores I can donate to, I can sell them to Thriftbooks, or put them in those little libraries on the side of the road.

I have a box of books I’ve been meaning to donate or sell and it’s just been sitting there and I can’t bring myself to do it!

So please tell me how you manage your books when it might be time for them to find a new home or when your physical home library gets overwhelming!!!!
