Do you prefer reading print books or digital versions? Paperback or hardcover? Ereader/eink display or laptop/phone/whatever? Why?
I'm wondering because I kind of want to prefer reading print books, and for the most part I do unless on the go, but today is one of those days where I struggle with print but can easily read digital. Why? Who knows!
Can be a bunch of different reasons, from "the book is unwieldy and heavy" or "I don't like the feeling of the pages" to "the typeface is annoying and it's dark and non of the lights I have are compatible with the position I want to read in". Today it's partially because I have a cold and have lost my place in my book multiple times because I had to sneeze and accidentally closed the book. Fun!
Now I'm considering buying the digital versions of my print current reads but at the same time really don't want to because I hate annotating ebooks (I'm using a German ereader brand and highlighting things/annotating them is an absolute mess, especially on my older ereader model) and I was looking forward to marking up all the fun passages.
So, instead of reading anything, print or digital, I'm now procrastinating and was wondering: Which do you prefer and why? Do you switch between them? Or do you prefer listening to audiobooks (which I can only do in the car or while exercising/otherwise occupied or I will get distracted and miss whole chapters)?

Hey y'all! It's that time of year - I imagine many of us, including me, are reaching for Hogfather now that winter is arriving on the scene.
Who else plans to read this month? If yes, will this be your first time reading or a return?
I'm hoping to start my own first time read through this weekend after I watch the miniseries. I heavily debated reading or watching first, but my husband doesn't want to hear about all the inaccuracies while watching so he asked that we watch together first, and then I can tell him about it later. đ
Anyway, if any one else is planning to read this month I'd love to chat in the forums as we read, and also in here about the adaptation/general Hogfather/DW thoughts!

Hello everyone,
What kind of pens / tabs/ highlighters are we all using to annotate? I have a miss match of some stuff but I definitely want to create a set that I know won't bleed through the paper and is easy to get a hold of, my favourite tabs have stopped being made so I need some new recommendations for stationery

Hii. Due to christmas there is a 17% sale on english books (in germany) and I need recs, bc I don't know what to buy. I like queer books, all genres welcome. So TELL ME, which books should I buy. đŤĄ

Hiiii Itâs time for Whoâs Who Wednesday where every Wednesday we introduce ourselves and make new friends. This is part 11. I think
If you participated any of the times before, you donât have to introduce yourself again but you can share some different facts about you, an opinion you have, or how your week is going.
If youâre new, introduce yourself!
Iâll go first.
My name is JadeLovesBooks
Itâs cold AF here in Pensacola Florida and I am cranky because I hate the cold (edit: itâs not really that cold here Iâm just dramatic. Reading about everyone here in SUPER cold weather makes me want to clarify this đ )
Iâve been spiraling for two days bc my school sent me a notice of academic probation and then 2 days later said they made a mistake and Iâm actually doing exceedingly well. Thanks. Iâve literally not been sleeping.
I like white cake with white icing. Preferable fluffy icing. Like whipped. Not the super sweet kind. Also my family makes banana pudding. Like, a lot.

so i've read a few romantasy books so far and the genre doesn't seem too bad but all the one's i've seen have absolutely diabolical age gaps. and as someone who loves elves, fairies and vampires, i'm sure you see the problem. are there any of these sorts of books without a 500+ year age gap romance as the main thing?? preferably also without a 18-19 year old fmc đ

I really want to try reading this book but I suck at reading classics usually because the language is way too verbose and confusing. Is this book like that? Or is there a better version/retelling?
