Hey, beautiful people š« After that post I made in the forum I felt so surprised to see so many people relate to my situation, and it was overwhelming (in the best way) to feel everyone's support and understanding. So I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took the time to give me a little uplifting, it really made a difference.
This made me think that we really are a community of dear anonymous friends, who support each other through the love of books. Which led me to this thought: There are so many beautiful and original usernames... What's the story behind each one? (except for one_crazy_eliott, I think I understand the reason behind Mr. Crazy's username š¤š¤š¤)
So, if you feel comfortable, share the story behind it. I think it will help bring us closer and keep everyone's anonymity anyway.
I'll start: The OGs know I started PB as fantasy.betareader but decided later to change my username to Pipsy to help me feel more connected here. This is a nickname my sister gave me when I was 3 or 4 years old, and it stuck until today. My whole family calls me by it, my friends, my teachers, my bosses, etc. Even on my passport, my signature says Pipsy. So that's basically my name š

What do y'all do while listening to audiobooks? I have a brain dead job, so I'm usually listening to podcasts and audiobooks while I'm working or commuting, but sometimes the book is so good that I continue once I get home.
Some of my absolute favorite audiobook activities include gardening, cooking, baking (I have a cake side hustle), and knitting (I'm currently knitting a blanket). I would just love to hear what others like to do, and also if there are things that you find too difficult to do while listening to a book. For example, if I'm making a new recipe I have to pause the book, or else I find myself not being able to follow along.
Also also, any of y'all able to just sit and listen? I find that totally wild (but also a little awe inspiring).

I really liked this one! It was a really chill read and the romance was great, nothing was maybe particularly exciting but that's what made it perfect for right this moment for me. I will definitely continue with the series!

when you guys take a book along for a trip or vacation, is it one you haven't read before or one that you have?
I'm going to be out of town for a few days and I don't anticipate having more down time than my short flights will grant. for that reason, I'm thinking of bringing a familiar title along. it'll be like traveling with a friend (:

I've read all through the vol. 8, but I don't remember a lot of details. I need to reread to prepare myself for the third season.

So far, I am loving that this book is fully dual POV. I think this series has so many characters that I want to know more about and it having the two povs is making that happen!

So I have been told stories about the 1992 LA Riots (which was catalyze due to police brutality towards Rodney King), from the perspective of my Korean parents. The book starts quite nonchalant, but quickly moves into a more intensity as the emotions of fear and protection starts to build.
