Finished book two! I remember as a kid rolling my eyes whenever Scarlet's story was taking place bc i just wanter more cinder but tbh i enjoyed this! Def not as much as cinder and i don't like the romance as much but it had a lot of great moments and mystery unraveling.

This was the first book i ever pulled an all nighter for. I remember loving cress and thorne. Now as a 25 yo i think cress is kinda cringe but it totally see why i loved her so much... i WAS HER. Very delulu and very under socialized. I don't think this beats Cinder though. A great book with such great plot— also the first i cried in the series so far. So lovely to see all the characters do their things. I think all the romances are so rushed though. None of these people have known each other for more than like.. what a few months? Max?? Anyways, i still love this book and this series. I know what happens at the end and i knew all the major plot twists, but this book still kept me excited to read more the entire time. Such a pleasure :)
