I went into the book completely blind. I just knew it had to do with vampires and nothing else. It was definitely an interesting read. I’m happy in the end we get Alexi’s perspective. I think it really tied up the book nicely.

I’ve recently started listening to audiobooks, so far I’ve listened to “everything is tuberculosis” by John Green and “beautifully bright creatures”. I used to think that audiobooks were not for me since I tend to zone out, but after listening to those two books, I’ve definitely changed my mind! Does anyone have any recommendations on other really good audiobooks?

I’m so ready for Cameron to find his footing and learn to take responsibility for his actions. I really want him to just start thriving by the end of this book.

Once again, at this point, I’m reading the series only because I’ve invested too much time into it at this point to quit. I find myself increasingly frustrated with the characters from the series. They all seem very one tone and no one has yet to exhibit any character development. The lyrical writing at first was really enjoyable to read in book one, but as we’re coming into book 3, I feel like nothing happens in these books. I feel that at most the series should’ve been a duology

Not much happened in this book. At this point though I’m determined to read book 3. I’ve come too far to turn back now!

Doing the audiobook. I know nothing really about the story other than an octopus is involved.

The pacing of the book is very interesting. Basically just a huge set us for the rest of the series. Hopefully our main character can get some more answers soon!!

This was my first crime/thriller book and I'm so glad that it was. I love the way the characters were written and was not expecting to feel so much for Ike and Buddy Lee. Highly recommend!!
