This one felt deeper theme wise than other BK books I've read which gave it some harder themes and ideas to get around but I found the overall message a BK classic which is sweet and hopeful.

Truth be told BK Borison is an auto buy author for me at this point so it is possible that always colors my view. How could you not auto buy an author that you know will make you feel like you've just had a sweet little kiss on the head.

Beautifully told story of a goddess I genuinely knew nothing about. Time is utilized so well in this story and Madeline Miller just has such a finesse about weaving several centuries together in one 400 page book. A real feat in my opinion.

I wasn't even really sure how to give this a star rating because it is really just a whole book of trying to quantify feelings, but I will say it is extremely readable and kept me very thoughtful throughout.

Im glad im reading this for a book club so I get to talk about it with other people for two hours. Certainly I dont think I agree with every point she makes but I kind of think me not agreeing is the whole point. People are complex and feelings are complex and there's no way around it.
