I ghost books like a one night stand that I intend to text back, but I procrastinated too long and now I forgot everyone's name. At book club, the first question I get asked is if I finished the book.

  • Agatha Christie

I just finished my first Agatha Christie, and I was left underwhelmed.

I started with Death on the Nile because that was the title I recognized out of the ones available at my library, but the reveal and who did it was underwhelming and the ending annoyed me.

So, I come to ask the community which Agatha Christie books are your favourites, so I can dive into a better experience and hopefully not get put off reading her books!

  • Tips for a Slow Reader?

Hey guys! So I’ve been getting more into reading (in part because of Pagebound) but I’m struggling a lot. I read around 10 pages an hour which is incredibly slow and I’d like to read at least 30 pages an hour at some point. I find myself compulsively rereading lines because I’m worried I don’t understand. Occasionally I’ll feel myself getting into the book and really speeding up but then I’ll stop myself and go back to make sure I read every single word. For some context I have dyslexia but as a kid this never stopped me from devouring books. Any tips? (I know it’s not bad to be a slow reader but I’d like to speed myself up a bit)

Thoughts from 11% - Does anyone else get anxious when characters go through trama?

2 + Chapters in. The first chapter really captured my attention., and I was ready to dive right in.

I was tentatively to start this book because I was forseeing that the character would go through a lot of trama. Middle of chapter 3 and I can feel my anxiety ramping up, and had to put the book down for a bit. Does this happen to anyone else?

I've put off this book for years, and I don't understand where I got that hesitation from. Starting off as a solid adventure story. I am really digging the ominous 6th sense that Fiver has.
