George R. R. Martin can tell such rich and exciting stories in just 100 pages and the fact that he does it three times in a row is honestly amazing. These stories felt so convincing that I can’t wait to finally dive into A Song of Ice and Fire!

Thank you for this thought-provoking post! My pet peeve pet peeve is when people complain about morally questionable characters and POVs, and especially when they go as far as accusing the author of sharing the character’s worldview.
Even if the author can be connected to some of those ideas, does that make the book or that way of thinking any less worth exploring? How are we supposed to understand the millions of different people and perspectives around us without novels like these? What can we learn about the world if we don’t allow ourselves to read outside our own bubbles?
Some pet peeves about books are mentioned again and again, like when the spines of books in a series don’t match, or when there are stickers printed on the cover. I think everyone agrees that those are annoying as hell.
But, what are some pet peeves many people have about books, that you simply don’t understand or disgree with? What pet peeve is a pet peeve to you?
