Dnf’ed, couldn’t bring myself to care enough to finish this dreary book. The repetitive sentence opener “and” really got on my nerves. That’s not a writing style, that’s just lazy writing. The book drags on for way too long. Made it about 100 pages in and gave up. Seriously questioning the booker judges tastes in books right now. Apparently drivel is what’s needed for a book to be on the booker longlist
