Wondering at this point how y’all would rate Addie’s overall likability (even if it’s not the point of the book for her to be the most likable character ever)

Short version: Slow burn that actually earns the burn. Small town chaos. Soccer. Healing. I was snacking on the vibes the whole time.
My reading experience: I loved watching Adalyn go from confident to confused to rebuilding herself. She looks strong on the outside, then you realize she is holding herself together with attitude and iced coffee. I felt that in my soul. And Cameron. A quiet, retired soccer legend who acts grumpy but pays attention to every detail. The type who listens even when you think he is not. A soft heart hiding in workout shirts and trauma. I could not look away.
What stood out: 🌟 Latina main character written with intention 🌟 Romance that grows the way real trust grows 🌟 Slow burn with actual payoff, not just waiting around 🌟 Chaos mixed with tenderness and humor 🌟 I rooted for her as a person, not only for them as a couple
For my bilingual heart: Her identity matters to the story. It feels natural. Más auténtico. Me gustó.
Vibe check: If you want a romance that takes its time, a heroine finding herself again, and a quiet man who ruins you with one soft stare, this one hits.
Final thought: This book is not only about love. It is about choosing yourself when you feel tired, lost, and unsure. I closed it wanting Adalyn to win in every part of her life, not just in love.
💗 Perfect with cafecito and patience.
🔥 Spicy Meter
💋 Swoon: High 🌶️ Heat: Medium 🫶 Tender moments: Maxed out 😳 Explicit scenes: Tasteful and earned 🥵 Overall vibe: Slow burn that sneaks up and melts you
Translation: Feelings first. Steam second. You close the book blushing like someone caught you reading something you should not.

About to deep dive into this book! I am so excited. The last two books I read for her left me feeling all the emotions, “The Women” and “The Four Winds.” Looks like I just like to have my heart out.
