I was wondering how all of the untied ends will fit into just one more book, but it was managed fantastically. It resulted in a well-paced, exciting book with always something happening, not a dull moment. I liked from cover to end, but i just could not put the book down in the second half. Super interesting world and characters! Ayla and Crier completely stole my heart too! 💙

Ok, the General needs to get to the point already and move this story along

Whenever i read before work i am in the thick of action every time when i need to stop and start working.😭
It might just be me, but i feel like the pacing of Ayla's and Crier's story is now switched up in book 2. In the first Ayla felt like always running and scheming and breathless, and now it is Crier. It makes sense since their positions are switched up as well: Ayle sitting pretty in a castle and Crier out in the wild. I like the switch and that Crier is meeting the world.

It's always so exciting starting to read something from Tamsyn you never really know what you are getting into. It is so clear she loves being free with her artistic style and I love that. Absolutely loved this short story, Pal and Ianthe are some of my favorites and the plot and execution was super refreshing.

I love Tamsyn's writing style, her words paint magic on paper. Loved to read more of Jody and Coronabeth hopefully we'll get more in the next book 👀

I've been told this has the same vibes as This Is How You Lose The Time War, just straight. Those are big shoes to fill your honor! The expectations are set HIGH

This book made me gain a totally new perspective on cows. Anyways, love dogs, hate stakeholders, eat your veggies, smoke only for the vibes.

I wish there was less of the "previously on Crier's war" kind of flashbacks, but otherwise I am really enjoying it. Can't wait for our gurlies to reunite.

I don't think it was a good idea to have so many storylines and povs. It actually would've been a solid book if only for Jane's and Clarinda's storylines. I didn't care for the Borneo part and i also HATED Valentine. The fact that he does not die at the end is appalling.

I'm back babbyyy! PSA about the cover: I absolutely love both of the covers just such interesting and amazing work!

An introduction to the Fantasy genre, these books are part of the cultural zeitgeist or the 'canon' that many would recognize. Look for more niche titles in later Starter Pack volumes.

Dramatic battles, tense political intrigue, unique world building...and is that maybe some romance I'm sensing? These books are not Romantasy but focus primarily on the SFF elements. Romance is a subplot and may not appear until later in the series, but when it does, you won't be disappointed.
