I want to read pure fantasy (without romance drama) and I know Brandon Sanderson is the king right now of the genre, but I feel lazy about starting a heavy lore (fantasy books). Any recommendations to start with his books to adapt myself into a new world?

Like, I want to read 24/7... but also I've a job and responsibilities. Tips? Time management hacks? Do I just give up and read at 2 a.m.?

A book wrapped would be so fun some day! We could see what genres we read that year, the average book length, if you did any rereads, finished series, what badges you won, etc. It would be super fun to see your yearly stats and everyone elseâs (Honestly I think everything should have a wrapped: most watched movies this year, 14th rewatch of your favorite show, bottles of wine purchased, all of the things! I want a highlight reel of my life.. sorry about that tangent)

Like...are y'all also feeling paranoid listening to audiobooks these days and thinking they used AI? I had to stop listening to The Book of Love audiobook recently after my husband said "you know that's AI" right and I realized then that I'd had this creeping feeling already but ignored it.... IDK....anyone else feeling this? It's ruined the audiobook experience for me so that now I just listen to classics in that format

Fredrik Backman did it again. But unlike the first short story I read from him, Iâm honestly struggling a bit more to understand whatâs going on in this one. That said âhis writing, the reflections, the questions he raises⊠itâs giving me all the mixed feelings.

Hi everyone! Here's a quick list of recent quality of life updates + bug fixes: - The most obvious: you probably noticed your feed is flooded with "badge earned" updates. There was a bug where, when a book was added to a Main Quest, those who had previously joined the Quest did not get credit for reading the newly added book. I fixed this bug and earned out badges for everyone (hence the feed getting flooded!). If you see anything still incorrect on your profile, email me at team@pagebound.co - there was a bug where the Edit option for your Reviews did not consistently show up in the ... (three dot menu) on the review card. This has been fixed! You can now edit your review anywhere you see it. - various infrastructure updates to help with server crashes + load times as we've seen a ton of growth on Pagebound over the past few weeks :) and of course, still working hard on the app! Our plan is to release to our first round of beta testers this month and publicly release before the end of the summer. Appreciate everyone's patience on this! On the bright side, there are TONS of updates on the app that address many feedback concerns we've seen lately :) Lastly, it's been so exciting to see all the new readers join us! Huge thank you to everyone who has sent good vibes, welcoming messages, and answered questions. This community is truly the best. Happy Reading đđ Jennifer & Lucy

I couldnât do it. I genuinely couldnât. Honestly, the only thing even slightly worth salvaging âand even thatâs a stretchâ is the âJuramento HipocrĂĄticoâ poem.

The potential this book had đ©âŠ What ruined it? That desperate attempt to sound poetic âand ending up just plain pathetic instead.

This is hands down the most ridiculous thing Iâve ever read. Iâm just not connecting with the authorâs writing, and honestly? That makes me kinda sad. But as a med student, these medical references? Theyâre laughable âlike, totally absurd. It just pulls me right out of the story every time.
Post from the Desfibrilador forum
This thing Iâm reading? Yeah⊠itâs not lyrical. Not even close. The metaphors it tries to pull off using illnesses and medical terms? Theyâre just not well-developed. Maybe to someone who doesnât study medicine it sounds deep or poetic âbut trust me, itâs not. Iâm not saying you have to be a med student to write about medicine, but at the very least, do your research.

Thereâs something I donât get âand maybe itâll be explained later on, but like⊠How did Voldemort kill himself and his parents?? What spell did he even use to leave his body and end up with another one? I donât know if Iâm making any sense, but Iâm seriously confused here đ§
