This might be a silly question but how do you decide the quality rating of a book? Like what aspects do you consider to decide how many stars to rate it?

I love how the writing has improved since the last book. The story is easy to read and I‘m about to start the next one immediately! There‘s several twists and turns - sometimes foreseeable, sometimes surprising. It ends on a semi cliffhanger, so if you’re halfway through it and like it, make sure you have the next one on hand as you finish 😉

So I live in Germany and follow many bookfluencers. Recently I feel like I see all those German bookfluencers talking about character cards that are an extra in book boxes, book mail or just inside the book when they buy it. I can’t recall any English speaking bookfluencers talking about these cards. Are they a German thing only or did I miss something? 😂 Plus: if you know them, what‘s your opinion about them?

I rly wanna be active when it comes to reading, like annotating and writing reviews and everything, but I was wondering if anyone is struggling with this? Like in this site especially I would like to have a rating for every book I've read, maybe a nice self where they could fit, but it feels like so much work. I think I wanna push for the reviews but book journaling and everything else is so hard to get into, eventually it makes reading a chore and ruins the cute, aesthetic organizing. Does anyone have any fun suggestions for making reading more interesting as an activity? Cause I don't think book journaling is for me

I have no idea why I like this book. Somehow everything and nothing happens. I see why there are so many books in this series. This book isn’t overloaded with twists and turns and a thousand things happening, which is something I like. Let‘s see how the story will go from here..
