  • Do we still lend books? 🥵

Hey, page-turners 🤗 So, I used to lend out my physical books without even a second thought (now I only read ebooks and audiobooks, which means I don't have that problem anymore). But, man, not everyone’s in a rush to give them back, are they?

There was this one time I bought an absolutely beautiful art book when I was at the Louvre (felt super fancy, not gonna lie), and I let a friend borrow it. He loved art as much as I did, or so I thought. Yeah, that book never made its way back to me. The worst part? I barely even got to look through it myself. Ugh, talk about regret. 🤦‍♂️

What about you? Are you cool with lending your books out, or do you kind of feel like you’re just saying goodbye forever? 📖😊

"I am a rich man - a very rich man"

You don't say mr Ratchett, you don't say

(Idk I just thought the way the narrator said it was funny, as I'm doing an immersive read)

  • Cooking an on-page meal ?

Have you ever read a meal/food description that sounded so nice you had to go look for a recipe and make it?

I love cooking/baking, and I'm always salivating when reading good food description. Most of the time, it's got ingredients I don't have on hand, but I remember coming across the yummiest description of a baked apple. It's so simple it's silly, but I'd never eaten one before. It was mid-winter, and we had plenty apples at home, so I put down my book, looked up a recipe, and baked a batch of apples immediately. Not only was it delicious (and a great winter dessert), it was so fun to get back to my chapter while eating what was described! 4D experience, highly recommend😊

  • What are your childhood nostalgia reads??

my husband and i just bought the full Chronicles of Narnia box set (second hand for $12!!) and i'm so excited to read them with him!

context: he is learning english and wanted a novel or novella to help him with reading comprehension. we chose these because while they are for children, they have great vocabulary with easy to follow stories

    i'm stoked!

    what are your nostalgia books??
