I don't think I just love this book, I think what I feel and will forever feel for this book runs deeper than the word love. Matilda and Vincent are forever a part of my world, just like Iris and Roman. I absolutely adore the way this book had me clinging to the edge of my seat the entire time in the best way possible. Just as I thought everything would start to settle I'd realize two things: 1) There was still a good considerable chunk of the book remaining and 2) Rebecca would throw another complicating, deadly factor into the mix. Her works of art that I've read thus far -- DR, RV and WR --are so incredibly comforting and am prayyyyying she returns to this world. Until then, I'll re-read it over and over again. The way she uses and describes nature is so ethereal, it makes me view my own surroundings in that much more of a different light. She wrapped this book up so nicely, so simply and that was perfect for the essence of Matilda and Vincent. Their patience was awe-inspiring and heartwarming. I can only hope to find a love that is able to wait and endure through much. I love how she took the things that were villainized in Divine Rivals - the eithrals specifically - and turned it on its head with more context and Matilda's point of view. Bade!! Adria!! I love when Matilda and Bade finally confessed who they were to each other, father and daughter. I love this book. I love Matilda and Vincent. I love this world. I love Rebecca's writing. Angel's Eye by This Is Lorelai is the most heartwrenching and perfect song to finish this book with.
