After back to back heavy readings, it's time for a "palette cleanser" and for some reason Freida's books seem to do that the best for me😂 A mid thriller but fast paced and easy to get me refreshed again. Does any one else go through this too??

I enjoyed the book overall. Maybe a tiny bit disappointed about the conclusion, but that could also be because I was sitting it up in my head to lead to some really big shocking finish😂 Surely, there are better Lisa Jewell books out there, but this one is pretty good too.

This is such an intense, dark and tragic book. The characters and their growth as the story progressed had me really captivated. The only reason I take one star off the overall ratings cause the ending just left me feeling soo....meh? Like, I don't know. It was as if while almost the entire book had such a good, well paced build up to the story, the ending just felt rushed, like for the sake of finishing the book... But otherwise, I really liked it.
