From the bottom of my heart, thank you for giving us more Jonah and Calla.
I can't even express how happy this book made me, but thank you, thank you, thank you.

This. Series. Is everything. I am addicted with the love affair of Jonah and Calla. Book#3 can't come soon enough.

I have so much to say, yet I am not sure I find the words. In one word: perfection. This was a book about real life and its struggles. Calla just turned 27 at this book and I am currently same age as her. I found that I related to her a lot. I know many reviewers say that they found this book boring and Calla annoying, but not everything is for everyone, and the point of this book was not just the lovey dovey stuff, but the things after. Which, personally, I always find myself craving for.
I just canāt describe how relatable this was. How I felt the pain and grief, even if I havenāt personally experienced it. I felt like someone understood what it is like to feel a bit lost, navigating life, relationship and more. Of course, Calla had more challenges than that. Like Alaskan way of life and wild animals. The loneliness when your significant other is so driven and passionate about something, while you are feeling out of sorts and a bit lost, not sure where your passion lies. While navigating through life, emotions and even loneliness, since the people closest to you are no longer living close to you.
I honestly crave for books like these more. I absolutely loved it, and do not care if some feel Calla was being stupid, because I can admit that when I am having emotional turmoil, missing someone, feeling lost, yes I might act like a dumbass. But even if they both kept things inside, they finally communicated and even with ups and downs, they faced them together, and came to the other side of it. That is the beauty of it. The reality of life.
I will be definitely reading novella next, canāt wait to find out what happens next in their lives. š„¹š

I just love this book somehow. It feels so real. I always wanted books that showcase after their so called happy ending and show their mundane (and not so mundane) life, challenges and all that comes with living together and navigating life.
Maybe it resonates with me, because I am close with age with Calla, her turning 27 and me being that age now. And how her significant other is driven and has dreams, works a lot. And her not yet knowing what she wants to pursue and navigating everyday life mostly without him and trying to figure out life.
Plus she moved to another country, Alaska being challenging in many ways, and having no relationships before moving. It just resonates and I canāt stop reading it. I feel like I need these kinds of books more, that donāt just focus on the lovey dovey stuff, but the real life challenges and finding yourself and purpose while feeling a bit lost.

I am still unsure how to feel about this book. I am listening to it and the audiobook is good, but I keep having thoughts if I should continue. I would not say it is the bookās fault, more likely mine, because it feels so complex with all the theories and concepts.
But I will say this, that it really takes me back to the university with all the theories, academia and libraries. Granted, my study of field was never this hard.
I have a theory: On a side note, I am sensing much more heavier topics with this book. I have a hunch that Alive has been SA or gone through some sort of abuse, not just the emotional one with the professor, but far worse. And why do I get a inking that it was the very professor that they are trying to save? Also, so far I have caught on some suicidal thoughts, burnout and more. Anyone else getting this?
I am not sure if I should continue because of the heavy topics, especially if there is SA, since that I cannot unfortunately read about.
If you have read the book, can you please let me know if it is very heavy with those topics or not?

Ahh loved this one! Cowboy romance and mafia princess, combined together?! Bring it on!
Recently I have been devouring cowboy romances and before that mafia romances, yet this book was the first one to combine best of two worlds. I have never read anything like this with cowboys and mafia princessās, yet it was done so well.
First of all, I really enjoyed the plot, writing and world. Secondly, the characters, their relationships, back and forth banter and almost animosity was so entertaining. It felt real and palpable. They really make a fiery couple. I truly enjoyed their relationship, chemistry and communication. The way Knox was all overprotective of her and had the ātouch her and I burn the world for herā energy, chefās kiss. š„ And so did Elena have the same fire and ātouch him and you d!eā. They just fitted so well together.
I absolutely loved how she fell in love with the farm, animals (or more likely animals falling to their knees before her) and hoe they built a home in such unlikely place for a mafia princess. It was so sweet. Their love and devotion for each other admireble.
Ahh, and I especially enjoyed the epilogue so much. š„¹š

The Simple Wild, a story of forgiveness, understanding and acceptance that love comes in many forms especially when you are completely transparent to those around you. I recognize the book came out 2018, but it is by far one of the best romance novels I've picked-up in 2020. I can't stop thinking about it. It was authentic on love and family, and the beauty of Alaska.
Do you want to know what the term Sky Cowboy means? What exactly is a bush pilot? And know if a Yeti is sexy? Then jump aboard and fly through this journey with Calla and Jonah. The umbrage to romance is stirring as you laugh at their banter and hijinks.
