From the blurb on the back, if you're wondering why I picked this random book up that doesn't even have an English translation yet, but that i want to share with the PB community anyway:
A love letter to the literature and imagination that shapes life and transcends death.
There are places, where the ghost of literature is in the air you breathe. One such place is Timpamara, and here lives Astolfo Malinverno. Books and stories have shaped his life for a long time - he's the village's librarian. But when he meets his true love, the lines between reality and literature seem to blur magically.

This is my first time to read a Hunger Games book in English and it is a bit challenging. The way Collins builds sentences is quite unique - at least for me -, and because of it sometimes I don't understand the real meaning (?) of it. Has anyone else felt this way?

I haven't been on the app much in the last two weeks due to a mix of school and sickness, and I really missed it.
I just to put it out there that I have a lot of fun on this bookish community. I love getting into a discussion about a niche topic or a scene from a book and I'm really excited to do that more over the holidays.
And I'm excited to make some lists.
What do you guys like most about this app? Are you planning on using it more during the holiday period?

This is just something I've been thinking about - I often see characters described as "annoying" in reviews and I often wonder what traits might make folks feel this way about a character. It's subjective, after all!
For me, I have trouble with characters that lose intelligence/common sense to push the plot forward (horror is ESPECIALLY bad for this but I've seen it in all sorts of genres) or who have careers and functioning lives but somehow manage to come off as completely helpless and incompetent.
