This book is so incredibly beautiful. There is something so devastatingly bittersweet about learning to fall in love with life in the middle of the end of the world. To learn to have hope through the darkest of days.

I’m struggling to find the words to make a proper review of this book, because it hit too close to home, so instead I’ll just write some of the things that stuck with me.

• Even if it feels like the world is ending, there can be beauty where we are. There may not be an asteroid coming to destroy the earth, but sometimes it does feel like our personal worlds are ending. But nothing is beyond repair, we just have to give it a chance.
  
  
• The world is big, and we deserve something beautiful for ourselves. A place to call our own. To do things for ourselves.
  
  
• “You have to allow yourself to be seen”
  
  
• Some circumstances can’t be changed. But others aren’t set in stone. It’s okay to ask for help. We’re all human, and we all struggle and we all need each other.

A very moving book. Although definitely take the content warnings seriously.

Edit: I wrote this review almost two years ago. This book saved my life then, and I can accurately say it’s still an earth-shattering book. I re-read it, because this book gives me hope like no other. And I recommend it so much.
