AND ALL OF THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED
This is a plot I will be thinking about for a long time. The book teaches us a lot about humane (social) psychology and it’s something EVERYONE MUST read to understand the principles of fascism and to learn that social nationalism isn’t an ideology only bad people or monsters could adopt to but that it’s way too easy to be adopted by EVERYONE of us, no matter how nice we think we are as an individual. It shows in under 200 pages how easy you can be manipulated and how dangerous and invasive fascistic ideologies are. Chefs kiss

“Mom, I want to come back home, I want to go to sleep at ten every night and take walks and not have to make an effort to be someone.”
i don’t know what to think of the book, because yes it’s very raw but also so movie-like and far from reality. at the same time not. for someone with an office job in a quarter-life crisis (hey!) it’s very relatable.
