WWMRR? aka What Would Moira Rose Read?
In honor of my Canadian queen Catherine O'Hara tragically passing away today, I wept (literally, I am unwell, y'all), and then felt inspired to make a list of books that I think Moira would like. Please give me ideas, I am thinking books that are/contain the following: dramatic and theatrical, VERBOSE vocabulary paired with profanity, female rage/female empowerment, sly humor, dark and twisty, possible nods to The Industry, excellent accessories required.

I was just talking to my brother-in-law, and he told me he wrote a book. I was happy for him! That's an amazing accomplishment, and he's written books before so I knew it was something he enjoyed doing.
That is...until he told me that while his ideas were all his, he used AI to "pad out the chapters". His rationalization was that he would disclose that he used it, and that so many Amazon best-sellers are all AI-generated, and he was using it as an aide. While I think that him disclosing is the right thing, I wanted to address with him how AI use is criticized in literature today. He can still publish it, but he should understand that there is a specific type of criticism he would receive without even reading his book.
So, I would like a little input from people who are also in this bookish world. How IS AI viewed in literature?

i really love poetry. like genuinely love it. there’s something about the way a few lines can hold so much feeling without explaining everything. i love poems that are reflective and emotional but also just good. not forced or trying to be clever, just honest in a way that stays with you. i love rereading poems and finding new meanings depending on my mood, or getting stuck on a piece trying to figure out the context or message between the lines. poetry feels personal in a way nothing else does. so i’m curious, is anyone else like this. if you love poetry too please tell me. and if you have any recommendations i would love them. reflective, emotional, comforting, devastating, anything that meant something to you. i’m always looking for poems that feel like they understand something i couldn’t put into words.
