To all my neurodivergent friends on here what is a subject you are super hyperfixated on right now and what book comes to mind when you think of that subject?
I'll go first: my brain is always hyperfixating on Greek mythology and Song of Achilles always scratches that itch when I re-read it.

One line, from any book, whether it’s categorized as a romance novel or not, that stuck with you as the epitome of romance. I’m so curious to see what everyone says!

Happy Friday amazing PB readers! I’m in the mood for devastation and some healthy (or even unhealthy) crying.
I want a book that is going to absolutely destroy me. I’m talking ugly crying, can’t-see-the-words-through-my-tears, questioning-my-life-choices kind of heartbreak.
I want the one that left you staring at a wall after finishing. The ones you still think about. The ones that hurt so good you’d read them again anyway.
The last one that had me grasping for reality was The Last Letter by Rebecca Yarros
Make me cry, friends!

ok so I do like this book so far, i'm enjoying the story and the characters quite a bit...
but that pacing?? i'm struggling.
i don't typically mind slow-paced books. i would say that sometimes its even necessary for a story to be slow-paced so that the readers can fully understand and experience the story. especially when the story is character-driven. i looove slow-paced character-driven stories.
but this book i would consider it quite plot driven and it feels veery slow. so i think i'm having trouble getting into a groove with this which is really a shame because there's so many aspects of the story that i like. i'm just scared that this is gonna drag on too long to the point that i lose interest and when i eventually finish it i'm gonna end up hating it.
does anyone else share this experience? maybe we can motivate each other to get through this :') or does anyone have any encouragements?
side note: i really really really like the representation of a queer muslim character and i'm wondering if anyone has recs for this. please i beg of you
