3,75⭐️ i enjoyed this one much more than the first book, i was really involved in james and bobby's relationship and i liked the tension and the drama but still some problems remains, mostly abt the realism and the author's lack of research on the Victorian era, most of the times they dont sound like ppl from the 1800s i also didn't really liked how they went from sworn enemies to lover in two pages but ig thats always the problem when writing an enemies to lover without these problems it wouldve been a solid 4⭐️ but alas

I try to read for about 2 hours a day — one hour for each of the two books I’m currently reading. 🕐📖🕐📖 Lately though, I haven’t been reading at all because I’m in the middle of moving to a new place and things are hectic! 📦🏠 But I have high hopes for the rest of the summer — I’ll be by the sea 🌊 and I’m pretty sure I’ll be spending every quiet afternoon with a book (or two!) in hand. 😎🧃📚 How about you? How many hours a day do you usually read — and do you set a goal or just go with the flow? 💬✨

i wasn't engaged in beth and gwen relationship until 70% of the book but i liked the ending i much prefered the parents relationship and loved their ending the epilogue and the setting for the sequel is smart but a bit far-fetched maybe, i'll read the next book but im not that excited to start it

this book made me really emotional as a trans person i relate a lot to morgan and experience a lot of thing she experienced sometimes the writing is weird and doesn't feel like how teens talk but maybe its just me overall i like reading this book and its an important topic to discuss however i can't ignore the allegation against the author and it tainted my reading

Does it affect your reading experience if you see a negative review or something bad in general about the book you find yourself loving? Usually, if some friend gives me their opinion about a book that they've already read and i'm about to read, it does hinder my judgement a bit because now i'm reading with that thought in mind. Sometimes, I would even read a book and love it, then check the reviews and see people pointing out things that lacked or were overdone, and that also makes me question my opinion. Other times, like with this one series, so many people talk bad about but I don't care because I enjoyed it so much and love it. I know it's not a classic piece of literature and so i dont mind if people write endless negative reviews on it, it doesnt affect my perspective at all. Share your experiences please

Hey, I'm curious - what locations, or under what situations, are your favourite to read? As per my previous post about favourite's being hard, I don't mean you need to pick one. For example, I really love curling up in a chair I have in our bedroom when I want to read with no sound, or taking myself to a pub if I am feeling like I want human connection without having to talk to anyone other than my server. Obviously this does mean I get interrupted every once in a while, but I like the ambience (and the fact that food and drink are brought to me so I have more time to focus on reading). Oh, and I love a long walk with an audiobook. Depending on what I am listening to, I might start talking back to whatever is going on out loud (but only a line here or there, not a constant monologue). Thoughts?

so i started reading this today and learned that the author had been **allegedly** abusive to her ex wife for many years, i decided to finish the book since i already bought and started it but this leave a bitter taste in my mouth and will maybe ruin the book for me
