Feel like it's a bit slow so far but this a very unique read compared to any other fantasy I've read, both in setting and in voice.

Already enjoying the interconnectedness of the narrative and all the misc spoilers that raise more questions than answers. Looking forward to seeing how the puzzle falls into place -- I feel like this will be a solid re-read refreshed by the context of knowing the whole picture. I'm really questioning though how reliable a narrator Walter is at this point, but no proof otherwise... yet

A recent forum post made me think of the topic of trigger warnings. Do you think they should exist?? I used to not think they should exist but have since changed my mind. If there is an unexpected action that could really upset people, aka rape or for me my line in the sand is animal cruelty, in a book that would not necessarily have it. Aka a romance novel. I think they should exist. If your reading a horror novel or a dark romance novel or a book about domestic violence that is marketed as such I don’t think they need them because that’s what is advertised Thoughts?

or with a character/ship! i'm reading royal assassin, the second book in robin hobb's realm of the elderlings series, and the archer by taylor swift is such a fitz song to me

Hiii! I’m looking for some weird, strange, maybe slightly unsettling (?) fiction recommendations! I’m ace and have emetophobia so preferably nothing with super graphic s3xual content (some is okay tho!) or vomit 🙃🫶

What's a book you were excited to read and ended up being disappointed by the end? For me it was Audition by Pip Adams. It's a trippy sci-fi that was right up my alley and just fell flat.

I'm wondering if you read other books in between or if you finish a series without reading anything else (if all books or at least more than one book are available).
