I’ll preface this by saying I usually avoid most horror like the plague because my anxiety level is already too high to dive into the genre, so take this review with a grain of salt. But! That’s exactly why I wanted to read this! I can’t think of a better way to ease myself into horror than with hearing about stories from a community I’m a part of and what they took away from these classic films. I knew that there was a correlation between the two, but not the depth. It’s given me a whole new way to approach horror movies and analyze them AND appreciate them.
I can happily say that I’ll be filling up my watchlist for October for for the first time.
