A unique concept although a bit boring at times. The dialogue felt quite outdated, and both girls had such similar voices that it was hard to know whose letters I was reading.

Seeing the origin story of something and someone so 'iconic' (for lack of a better word) was so intriguing. I feel like I need so many more books like this to show how the hunger games transformed into what Katniss fought in.

This premise alone was so unique and well thought out. I love how one tiny detail of choosing a child's name could have such a huge effect on that child's life, as well as the people around him.
Each storyline was captivating and thought provoking, and I felt invested in each one equally.
Many parts were hard to read, and hard to understand, but they all shaped the characters and their lives.
